HUMAN KALEIDOSCOPE.
FREMANTLE, April 20. The English papers just -to hand, state that humiliating punishment was suffered by a football writer, of the local paper who adversely criticised the Aberystwyth College, of Wales Rugby team. Having discovered the writer of t/ho arti.le, the students seized their victim, and marched him to the castlfc. ruins. Here he was bound, and the contents qf a can of syrup were . poured over ;. his head. Then bags of confetti were flung at him from * all sides, - until he looked like a human kaleidoscope. Then he was borne on a truck trussed like a fowl through the streets of the town. The' streets were full of country people,: who looked on m amazement as the crowd of jeering students 'carted their victim through Terrace road and along Marine promenade. At length, amid the howls of the students and the mob, he was suffered to go to his lodgings to rid himself of the sticky rtiess, and discard his ruined clot-ung.v -
