Danish. 117s to 119s; choicest Australian, salted, 112s to 114s (occasionally 116s) ; secondaries, neglected, 106s to 110s; unsalted, 114s to 116s, and m exceptional cases 118s. The quality of the new makfe- is generally unsatisfactory. The wheat markets are rlrm and inactive, buyers waiting and holders not , pressing sales. Crop news is uniformly good. Argentine inferior wheats are likely to be abundant, but superior is scarce. The sum of 37s 6d' is asked for Australian January-February shipment, 38s 3d for South Australian September-October, 38s' for New South Wales September-October, and 36s for South Australian parcels afloat. There is little inquiry for Australian on spot. There is a good demand for a New Zealand Tuscan shipment at . 325. Oats: New Zealand small supply, unchanged; La Plata Octooer-November shipment, 13s 6d. The Bradford wool market is quiet. •,. Compared with the closing rates of the last London sales the market shows no ' material change, except for combing merii\o, scoured, good to extra good, which is par to 5 per cent.: m advarice. Greasy crossbred and hnlf-bred have declined 5 pei". cent. There were" held held over 15,000 bales." SOME GOOD PRICES. Dalgety. and Company,' Limited, Sydney, and M. G. Carter .Wellington, New South Wales (m conjunction),- report .having conducted a most successful sale of horses at the Wellington .-.ale yards on September 22 and 23, the hammer being wielded by the former company's auctioneer, Mr T. R. MoWhannell. , A flne selection ~of well-bred draught horses, including three consignments direct from New Zealand, were offered ; there was also a good yarding of local, draught, van, and light horses. ■ Buyers "were present from Sydney. Albury, Wodonga, Berrigan, Coolamori, ' Wvalong. Forbes, Parkes, Molong, Orange; Cuinnock, and m addition there was the \isual district buying power; Despite -the tact of a dry season, and the unfavorable prospects of a good harvest, there was good competition, particularly for active and heavy draughts of good quality. A choice line of twelve draught mares from Diinedin (N. 55.) sold up 'to £68, arid made the excellent average of £51 10s per head; another lot of 30 active farm horses averaged £32 per h,e'ad. A pair of. grey fanii mares were knocked down at £93. There was also free bidding for van horses and the better classes of light sorts. This was the m. nugtiral sale of the above agents, m conjunction, at Wellington, and it is intended to make the fixture an annual one. _ Messrs Common, Stfclton - and ' ftjpnrpany's London agents advise, that the total, shipments of frozen meat from all 1 sources for the' nino months ending.
