Edw:n advised to-day : "Moderate to strong southerly winds; glass little movement; tides moderate; expect very cold night." At East Cape this morning there was a fresh S. wind, blue cloudy sky, moderate sea. Light variable winds and fine weather prevailed to-day. Moderate seas were running at Castlepoint, Cape Egmont, and ' Bluff; considerable swell at Greymouth.
