Frozen mutton: There is more demand for light weights, but heavyweights are neglected. We quote : New, Zealand beef, ox hind«, 180 to 2201b5. 3^d to 3sd ; Australian lafnb, prime, 32 to 401bs, 4|d per lb ; Australian mutton light weights, under 501bs, crossbred and merino wethers, 3|d. per lb."

There also appeared to be better competition all round, especially for bullocks and ser* viceable lines of young cattle. Our day'a sales comprised email calves at from 12» 6d to £1, station calves with good skins 27s 6d, 12 to 18 months old heifers £2 7s 6d to £2 108, old cows 22s 6d, 12 to 15 months old steers £2 ls to £2 3s 6d, 2 year steer. £3 8s 6d, 24 year old bullocks £4 10s to £5, light beef bullock* £6, bet* ter finished cattle £7 2s 6d.

Pigs : There was no demand and those offered had to be passed m. Wo have now oome to the end of our weekly auction sales, and until further notice there will be a fortnightly interval between each sale, the next; sale being fixed for the 16th iiißt.
