Noble won tlie toss and decided! to bat, Trumper and Duff openitag the innings. Callaway opened the bowling to Duff who put the first ball into Sims' hands at slip. Hill followed', and 1 at 2.15 the score was 17 for one wioket, the runs coming at Callaway's expense. Duff o Sims, b Callaway, 0 ; Trumper, not out, 7; Hill, uofc..out, 10.
