There was beautiful weather for the second day's races, and a good attendance. Following are the results: — Autumn Hurdles: Transport 1, Vestment 2, Orlando and Trent dead heat third.
Ascot Vale Stakes: Charles Stuart 1, The Infanta 2, Killdean- 3. Betting: 5 to 2 against Charles Stuart. Won by two lengths. Time, 1.16 i.
Australian Cup : Lord Ullin's Daughter 1, Dividend 2, Koopan 3. All started except Bullark aud Billingsgate. Betting : 2 to 1 Dividend, 6 to 1 Lord Ullin's Daughter, 7 to 1 Can teem. The favorite led into the straight, the nearest m attendance being Lord Fitzroy, Lamrock, Bliuker, Can teen and Lord Ullin's Daughter. The latter made a. very fast run at the distance a*id beat Dividend, who failed to respond to the whip, by two lengths. Canteen was sixth. Time, 3.574.
March -Steeplechase : Young Creswick 1, Poster 2, Aeronaut 3. Twelve started. Betting : 5 to 1 the winner. Won by two lengths. Time, 4.23|. Bourke Handicap : Dangai 1, Mark 2, Stepout 3.
