Boronzoff was mutilated iilmost- be— ond recognition, the delirious murderer proceeded to butcher his children one after the other, beginning with the eldest and finishing with , tlie youngest. Tliere were three sons, );iged fifteen, eleven, and four, and three daughters, aged thirteen, ten, and two. Tho crime was committed with great suddenness, and the noise did not attract tlie servant* until the ghastly work was complete. Subsequently Boronzoff became sufficiently free from delirium to realise- wliat he liad done, where upon he again seized the axe, and inflicted such terrible gashes on ..hie own head, arms, und legs that he died a few hours afterwards.
