Crown Tenants.
APPLICATIONS FOR REDUCTION OF RENTS. Tibiaru, today. At a special meeting of the Canterbury Land Board various applications were heard from settlers for relief from the consequences of being in arrears with rents. A deputation representing large and small run holders, Crown tenants in McKenzie country asked the Board to support a petition to the Government for an Act to authorise the temporary reductions in rentals in bad years. The enquiry will be resumed to-day.
