THE GREAT STRIKES.

The strikers committee have orderet the men to resume work on Monday Thoy passed <i resolution specially thanking the colonies for valuable aid in financial assistance rendered by them in the struggle, which they declare will be first in the direction of labor universal federation. They admit that without the liberal contributions from Australia, the victory would not have been won. The agreement was last night. The lightermen delayed its final completion a-while, professing sympathy with the strike. They only refused to resume under Os a day. The masters yielded but have referred other demands to arbitration. The Surrey commercial dockmen held out for an increase jjof wages, which was granted them. The strike has cost companies and workmen in all L 2,000,000, besides lowering the value of dock stock an additional million. The newly-formed Laborers Union numbers 18,000 members, which, it is considered, will be sufficient for the needs of tho port without the aid of casual hands.
