CANCELLED NOTES IN CIRCULATlOtf. Melbourne, to-day. It 13 reported that several cancelled pound notes of tho Bank of Australasia have been circulating recently. Circumstances point to the theft having been committed from unissuablo note department of the Bmk. The number of notes abstracted is nor, yet known, but it is believed to be small. No proof exists a3 to any official being implicated in the affair.
