ADELAIDE EXHIBITION.
THE OPENING CEREMONY.
Adelaide, to-day,
The Exhibition was opened yesterday by Sir William Robinson, the proceedings being of a most imposing character. The troops lined the route from Government House to tho Exhibition Building. Mr E. T. Smith, the Mayor of Adelaide and President of the Exhibition, delivered an address to which the Governor replied at some length. His Excellency despatched a cablegram to the Queen announcing the opening of the Exhibition, which is being held not only in celebration of Her Majesty's Jubilee, bub a 9 the Jubilee of the colony also.
