Stocks in all branches are either low or moderate, owing to the non-arrival of English vessels. There is an improved tone in mining shares. Produce of all kinds firm. No good samples of oats can bo obtained under 2s Cd. There were 400 bag-s of Sydney maize brought by the Anwvata ; half the number were quitted at 3s 9d, but 4s is now asked. The non-arrival ol Engiisli vessels has caused stocks of Iron and \virt> ♦<> run low and rates are firm in consequence ; seven-i t -.i.i cI ,^t|, s o f galvanised iron are very scarce. Raw oil io -.-orth 3s 9d in bulk and 4s 3d in drums ; boiled, 4s in bum «r.^ 4 S (jd drums. Slates are well supplied. The stock of cement is rather lighter than usual and is worth 15s to 16s in large lines.
