June 17. Favorable accounts are published concerning the English wheat crops. ;
In the House of Commons to-day, the second clause of the Irish Land Bill was passed through committee after some discussion.
Accounts to hand from Paris give favorable reports of the prospects ol the French crops.
At the wool sales to-day, 7,800 bales were offered, there being ajfirm demand.
Rioting in Ireland between the peasantry and the police has greatly subsided. The autborities continue to prohibit all assemblies of people on occasions of sales and at scenes of evictions.
News has been received of an accident to a boat's crew of the turret-ship Monarch of the Mediterranean Squadron while at torpedo practice. One officer was killed and several seamen were seriously injured.
