Golden Grape (imp.) by Barnton on Hoppicker by Orlando out of Hlobhv by Sir Hercules. Barnton is a brothe to Voltigeur. Deception is a bay mare, bred ii Auckland by Mr. Hargraves, where sin was very successfully raced, which in duced her owner to take her to tin Nelson Meeting of 1860. Here sin took all before her, beating 10, Ultima Miss Rowe, and others, in everythini she started for. She was tnken to Aus tralia, where she ran very well. Sin was then brought back, arid put to th< stud, where she produced Traitor. BOTH WELL was foaled 13th Oct. 1876, and is now four years old ; stand: 15 hands 3 inches ; has wintered well and grown into a grand horse. He is £ beautiful bay, with great length, sub stance, and quality, and having .th< Traducer blood from his sire, and th< equally famous blood of Sir Hercules through his dam, should prove verj successful at the stud. THIS celebrated cross-country Horse, whose pedigree is well-known, will stand this season at TE ARAI FERRY. BRIGHAM YOUNG is a very powerful rich brown horse, rising 9 years ; bred by Qninlivan, of Wanganni. He was got by Tradncer, ont of Missie; by Nutworth, imported grand dam by Riddlesworth, the winner of the Twc Guineas. He also ran second for the Derby in England. Riddlesworth is the sire of Dainty Ariel, Doch a Dhurris, Malaga, and old Volunteer, one of the best cross-country horses in the Colony. When a 4-year old, Brigham Young ran his maiden race in the Wauganui Hurdle Race. Among the hoi'ses engaged in this race was Wairarapa. He afterwards won the Napier and Wanganui Hurdle Race. Victor was the winner of the Steeplechase in Wanganui, and the Wellington Hurdle Race Madora is a great winner from the South, having won a great many cross-country races. There were eight others started. This was a fast race from the start, Pat M'Koy winning it on G: zelle, Brigham Young second. Two months after, Brigham Yoang ran for the Grand Steeplechase in Wauganui ; 14 horses started. A verj exoiting race ensued, several of the horses coming to grief, and two being killed. Here Brigham Young showed himself again to be a true son of Traducer, being a raw colt, 4 years old, and winning the Wanganui Grand Steeplehose against 13 of the best horses in the Island. TERMS :— Single Mares, £3 10s. ; two or or more mares the property of the same owner as per agreement. Groom's foe, ss. each mare. One month's paddocking free, after which 3s. per week will be charged. All fees to be paid on the removal of mares, after notice of stinting. THIS thoroughbred horse, by Pacific, ont of an imported Arabian mare, will run \*ith his mares this season in my paddocks at Toanga. Terms — £2 2s each mare. Paddocking free for one month ; after that 2s Gd per week will be charged. The Clydesdale Draught Stallion YOUNG LORD GLASGOW Will stand this season at Toanga. HE is a low-set, powerful Draught Stallion, stands about 16^ hands high, and is perfectly staunch in harness. Young Lord Glasgow took the first prize at the Hawke's Bay Agricultural Show held at Hastings in 1874, and Ist prize in Poverty Bay in 187 S. : Terms — £3 3s each mare. Paddocking free for one month ; after that 23 9d per week will bo charged. All fees and charges must be paid before the removal of mai'es. EWEN CAMERON.
