TROUT.

[To the Editor of (he Herald.] Sir, — As an enthusiastic fisherman, I would like to draw the attention of the sporting community of Poverty Bay to the fact that there are at present in Auckland a number of young trout, for which applications are invited by the Acclimatisation Society. The Mangatu, the Arai;, and the upper part of the Waipaoa 'River, and perhaps the Waimata, are .quite, suitable for trout. There would not, I think* be either difficulty or great expense in introducing the .fish, and, I am sure, a very small subscription from persons interested, whioh could be raised without trouble, would pay all expenses. — Yours, «fee, Pelhah E. Riceabosok. Makaraka, Sept. 21, 1880.
