[kkom our own correspondent.] LONDON. June 16. A Select Committee of the House of Commons reported that Charles Bradlaugh should be allowed to make an affirmation instead of the customary oath. June 17. King George of Greece, now in England, was presented to-day with the freedom of the city of London. The Prince of Wales made the presentation. The Hon. W. E. Gladstone was present, and made a speech, in the course of which he warmly sympathised with Greece and her difficulties with Turkey with regard to the frontier question. June 18. Several Spanish war vessels, with a large number of troops, have been ordered to the Pacific. The actual destination, however, is not yet known. The European Conference at Berlin, commenced its sittings yesterday, but the proceedings are kept secret.
