LONDON,
April 21, Adelaide bread stuffs declining: Wheat now quoted 54s per 496 lbs., and flour 39s per 280 lbs. New Zealand wheat has advanced Is. on the last quotations. At the wool sales to-day, 10,000 bales were catalogued. There was a j good demand and crossbreds are firmer. April 22. The Beaconsfield Ministry has tendered their resignations, which the Queen accepted, and sent for Lord Hartington to form a new ministry, but he declined the task in favor of Mr. Gladstone. Montague Corry, C.8., late private secretary to Earl Beaconsfield has been raised to the peerage. Gavan Duffy, late speaker of the Victorian Assembly, has been invited to stand for an Irish Borough in the Home Rule interest.
