The several proclamations issued by Mr. Campbell which have appeared in our 'advertising columns, notifiying that several runs in the Bay are scab-infected, have caused much alarm, and not without good reason ; for of all the dire scourges which can befall the sheepfarmer, scab is, beyond doubt, the greatest. .., We think, then, we cannot dp^ije^r than to give pur wool-growers the contents' of a memorandum publised by Dr. Hector and presented to the Government for information. Writing on the subject of scab on sheep, Dr. Hector says the disease which is analogous to'the mange in the lower animals, and to the itch in man, the greatest scourge to which flocks are liable.
