Phtranoe^ £3; night of general entr^ l: " s | RULES AND REQUIATOHKB. i. CThe Rules of the Auckland^FbiiKey Club will be strictly adhered to, unless where otherwise specified. Three horses to start for each race or only half the stakes will be given. All Entries for Handicap Hurdles and St. Valentine's Handicap to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Masonic Hotel, Gisborne, before B' p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 1880, with entrance money, the name, age, and color of the horse, and name of the owner. Any Jockey riding m different colors to those described m his entry, shall be fined £1. This rule will be strictly adhered to. Any poraon entering a protest will be required toNleposit £2 with, the Stewards and m the event of such a protest being by them considered frivolous, the same shall be forfeited to the race fund. No entries will be received for any of the above races, except on the following conditions :— That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing, shall be decided by. the Stewards, or a majority of them, and their decision upon all points sJw.il be final. ' The winner of every match run on the course to pay £2 to the race fund. Five per cent.' to be deducted from win* ninge towards Club funds. .
