He won the first prize m 18G9 as a yearling, beating two-year-old horses. In 1871, as three-year-old, he also carried off the first prize against aged horses. In 1872 he carritd off the second prize, being beaten only by President, one of the three newly-imported horses. In 1875 he took the Silver Cup for the best DRAUGHT ENTIRE at the Poverty Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Sooiety s Show. He is a grand colt, standing 16 hands high, by Sir Walter Scott (imported) ; dam Blossom by Sir Colin Campbell, out of Scotland's Pride (imported) : by King Fergus (imported.) "DISRAELE" gained the second prize at the Christchurch and Rangiora Shows as a two-year-old. At the Annual Parade of Entires at Chrißtchurch, Mr. Wallis' Pride of Scotland and Sir Walter Scott and Mr. R. Wilkin'a Bill Fail Play, attracted the majority of Visitors. " DISRAELI " is a splendid sample of the much admired and appreciated Clydesdale stock, both m Australia and should be sought after and patronised by owners of mares m Poverty Bay.
