ATHLETIC SPORTS.

[To the Editor of the Herald.] Sir, — 1 certainly should not have noticed Mr. Regan's letter m your last evening's issue, had he not by something more than insinuation endeavored to cast a slur upon my character. It states that I was collecting ss. from as many as would trust me. This comes somewhat strange from Mr. Regan. I have been connected with various Athletic Clubs, and have collected money for them and never had an imputation of untrustworthiness even hinted at before. Can Mr. Regan say as much 1 ' Apologising for occupying your valuable space and assuring you that I shall not again trouble you. — I am &_, James Frier.
