Nomination of £1 on or before Wednesday, November 12th, 1879, at 8 p.m. ; acceptance £2 night of general entry. To start at 12.45 o'clock. 2. HACK HURDLE RACE of £10, for hacks that have not been trained between May 24th and November 10th, 1879 ; lowest weight, 9st j post entry, £1. To start at 1.30 o'clock. 3. MAIDEN PLATE of £20 ; for all horses that have not won an advertised race exceeding £20, hurdle races and matches excepted ; distance, l£ miles ; weight for age } £3 night of general entry. To start at 2. 15 o'clock. 4. BOXING DAY HANDICAP of not less than £60 ; second horse to receive £10 from the stake ; distance, 2 miles ; top weight not to exceed lOst. Nominations £2, on or before Wednesday, November 12th, 1879, at 8 p.m. ; acceptances £3, night of general entry. To start at 3 o'clock. 5. HACK RACE of £10 ; for hacks that have not been trained between May 24th and November 10th, 1879 ; distance, 1 mile ; top weight 9st ; post entry, £1. To start at 3.45 o'clock. 6. VISITORS' PLATE of not less than £30 ; second horse to receive £5 from the stakes ; distance, lj miles weight for age. £3 night of general entry. To start at 4.30 o'clock. 7. CONSOLATION HANDICAP of £15 ; for all beaten horses at this meeting ; distance, 1 mile : entry £1. RULES AND KEGULATIONS. The Rules of the Auckland Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to, unless where otherwise specified. No one allowed to nominate unless a subscriber of at least £1 Is to the race fund, except the Hack and Hack Hurdle Races. Three horses to start for each race or only half the stakes will be given. All entries for the Boxing Day Handicap and Handicap Hurdle Itaces to be sealed, and addressed to the Secretary, Waerenga-a-hika Hotel, Poverty Bay, before 8 p.m., on Wednesday, November 12th, 1879, with entrance money, the name, age, and color of the horse, name of the owner and colors of the rider enclosed. Any Jockey riding m different colors to those described m his entry shall be fined £1. This rule will be strictly adhered to. Any person entering a protest will be required to deposit £2 with the Stewards, and m the event of such a protest, being by them considered frivolous, the same shall be forfeited to the race fund. No entries will be received for any of the above races except on the following conditions : — That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing, shall bo decided by the Stewards, or a majority of them, and their decssion upon, all points SHALL BE FINAL. The winner of every match run on the course to pay £2 to the race fund. The Handicaps will be posted at the Masonic Hotel, Poverty Bay, and at the Waerenga-a-hika Hotel, on Saturday, November loth, at noon. Acceptances and night of general entry at the Masonic Hotel, Poverty Bay, on Wednesday, December 17th, 1879, at 8 p.m. R. COLEBROOK, Secretary and Treasurer.
