IN pursuance of Section 46 of the (( Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876," I, FRANCIS JAMES PIESSE, Returning Officer for the Gisborne Riding, Cook County, do hereby give notice that an ELECTION will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a COUNCILLOR for the said GISBORNE RIDING, Cook County, and that the Nomination of Candidates will be received at Messrs. J. and A. Davis's Store, Roseland, at NOON on FRIDAY, the twenty-first day of November, 1879, and that the POLL, if necessary, will be taken at the Makaraka Hall, Roseland, and at the Court House, Ormond, on SATUR- ! DAY, the twenty-ninth day of November, 1879. FRANCIS 0. PIESSE, Returning Officer. NOTICE. IF the LADY that WENT INTO MY GARDEN on MONDAY, and TOOK STRAWBERRIES, does not COME and PAY FOR THEM and the DAMAGE, I shall EXPOSE HER to the Public. Damages— Ten Shillings. G. HILL, Gardener.
