LOCAL PROGRESS COMMITTEE.
Ax a meeting of the Progress Committee this afternoon, the following resolutions were passed :— " That the meeting consider it very desirable that the Native Lawsuit's Bill, as introduced by the member of the East Coast, should be passed; immediately, and that the coming into operation of such Act will tend r to put an end to disputes which appear interminable." . j "That this Committee thinks it desirable that all existing clauses under the Lawsuits; Bill be made, within six months after, tho Aot comes m force." : The resolutions were proposed by. Capt. Tucked, and ' seconded ; by Mr Mutthewsou.
