This Day. Detective Kirby says ■ that Edward Jeffrej admitted having placed a plank and stone on the line to upset the train. Jeffrey now denies having made such a statement. A pair of Jeffrey's boots correspond with footmarks' near the line. The prisoner has been remanded till Monday.
