THE REPUDIATION QUESTION.
[To tJie Editor of the Herald.] Sir, — Is it not time the people of Gisborne, the tradesmen and shopkeepers who have to live by the trade of the place — take some measures to put down any organ or party which advocates the Repudiation policy. I think it is time to show the proprietors or editors of such organs that they shall no longer receive that support which enables them to continue in their mischievous course. If the public were to withdraw their support at once, the mischief will soon cease to have the damning effect it has had, and will continue to have, on the town and district. I would recommend a public meeting to be called to deoide what steps should be taken in the matter. The trade of the town and district is being utterly ruined. 1 enclose my card, and independent of any other steps .being taken, I for one shall discontinue my support. — I am, &c., Pro Bono Publico. ["Pro Bono Publico " will see that a public meeting is called for Wednesday evening next, at the Masonic Hall. — Ed,]
