Christchurcii, Friday. Owing to the scarcity of samples potatoes have been moving freely, and all brought forward have, becu takeu up at last week's rate at £3 15s to £4. Flour has seen a fair trade at £12 to £13. In grass seed the demand for rye continues next to nil, and prices are nominal — 4s to 4s 3d. For dairy produce in small lots new butter is quoted at 1 Id Is ; cheese, 6d to 6\d ; hams and bacon, .9d to 9£d. There was a good attendance at the stock sales to-day, and the market is more animated. Mutton is quoted at 2Jd per lb. An importation of very good quality of cattle from Waugauui realised from £12 5s to £17 per head. Adelaide, Friday. Wheat .firm at 5s 7d ; flour, £11 15s to £12. .Sydnev, Friday. Hennessy's brandy, case, 33s 6d ; quarter casks, 9s 9d ; Devois kerosene, Is lOd ; Patna rice, £21 10s ; New Zealaud oats, 2s 6d ; maize, 2s 6d ; Raven's twist tobacco, Is 7d ; candles, D.R.J., 7^d.
