♦ [Wo do not hoW ouv3ulvcs responsible for opinions expressed by correspondents.] [To the Editor of the Herald.] Sir, — With reference to the local which appeared m the Herald of yesterday's date, stating that Miss Thompson had been elected as pupil teacher of the Gisborne School, and that the Chairman was not aware of the irregularity which upset the appointment, I beg to state that no irregularity having taken place m the voting, that Miss Thompson has not been elected pupil teacher. — I am &c, D. Johnston, Chairman.
