After an enthusiastic lovor spends two hours hard labour writing a letter to his girl, and then mars its beauty by spilling .a drop of ink on it, he first swears in.a very scientific manner for a few moments and then draws a circle around the blot, and tells her it is a kiss. A Newark husband who, when he counted his wife, was constantly sighing for the " Sweet by-and-by," dosen't think so much of it now that it is attained. He complains that it has been buy and buy until he is about disgusted.
