Dunedin, 6 Sept. STOCK. Mr. Henry Driver reports for the week ending 3rd September as follows : — Fat Cattle.— The average supply of 170 head was yarded,' a fair proportion of whiuii were good to prime quality. About 130 were sold at 27s 6cl per 1001 b for prime, and 23s to 25s for medium ; 40 head were turned out. Fat Sheep. — For prime quality there was fair competition, at a shade over last week's rates. Best cross-breds brought from 11s to 12s ; medium do. 9s to 9s 6d ; do meriuos, 9s to 9s 9d ; inferior do, ss. WOOL, SHEEPSKINS, &c, The following cablegram has beeu received : — " H. Schwartze and Co report : Better-classed wools have lost the advance gained on close of the Juue aeriea. For inferior and faulty wools, which form the bulk of catalogues, the- preseut rates ar^ lower by 15 per cent than any time this year. Rouuh cross-breds and New Zealand washed fleeces are specially depressed." Sheepskins. — There was a good attendance of buyers, and late prices were well maintained. Cross-breds fetched from 3s 5d to 4s Id ; merinos, 3a Id to 4s Id ; station skins, 4f d per lb ; pelts and mixed skins, lid to 2s 8d each. Hides. — We disposed of a small catalogue at 2&d for salted, and 15 to 16s forgreeu. Tallow. — No sales to report. PRODUCE. . Wheat :— Small samples of first-class milling are saleable at 43 6d to 4s 8d ; medium, 4s 4cl to 4s sd. No large lots are changing hands. Oata : Market very quiet. Milling, 2s 2d to 2s 3d ; good Tartarian seed (m demand), 2s 6d. Barley : No change m quotations to report. Flower. £10 to £11. Potatoes. — The market has been better supplied, but prices have undergone no change. We quote at £5 } seed potatoes bringing up to £7 10a. Seeds.— Grass seed, with which the market is well supplied, are beginning to move, and a few parcels have changed hands. Perennial rye-grass is worth 5s to 7s per bushel, aud Italiau from 9s to 10s, Cocksfoot is 6d to 8d per lb.
