Colonel Browne, the British Resident at Maldaly, and a number of Europeans apprehensive of outrages have withdrawn from the city. Failing immediate stibmis»ion of the King, Lord Lytton will direct the advance. Several regiments are under immediate orders to March on Mandalay, and and expedition on Irawady probable.
