FIRST TAKE OUT THE MOTE THAT IS IN THINE EYE.

[To the Editor of the Herald.] Sir,— The peculiar notion which some people entertain of justice was well illustrated last night at Makaraka, when Mr Ferris objected to those from town voting as to the vote of confidence for Mr McDonald, and, (they having desisted from voting) immediately broke faith with them by voting himself. So just an act is equalled only by his saying that he would make a few remarks, but put no motion. This he directly violated when allowed to make a speech, by putting au amendment of want of confidence, for which he and two others voted, though properly challenged by Mr E. Harris. — I am, &c, Fair Pl>y.
