It is authoritatively announced that the finding of a Court Martial on Lieutenant Carey exonerated him from blame m connection with the death of the Prince Imperial, and that he retains his full rank. The latest news from the Cape states that Sir Garnet Wolseley arrived at Rorke's Drift on August 3, joining the second column under Colonel Baker. The first column m command of Colonel Russell had advanced, and both forces were to rendezvous at Magentum. Cetewayo has not surrendered. He was at a military kraal, north of Blacks, Unvolosi River, with only a small following.
