THE PREMIER AND CAPTAIN MORRIS.

[To the Editor of the Herald.] ■ Sift, — While agreeing with the remarks of Captain Morris as to the Native policy of the Government, and many other matters touched upon during his address on Saturday evening, I must Bay I wa« surprised to hear his constant iteration of the danger the country is likely to suffer from should Sir Georgo Grey return to office. For the sake of the Liberal cause, I hope electors will not attach the slightest weight to Captain Morris' remarks upon the subject. It is well understoood that Sir George Grey will not take office again should he meot Parliament with a majority, but that he has intimated hi 3 desire to retire from public life as soon as the Liberal party shall be firmly established m power. — I am, &c. , Fair Play.
