August 7. Mr. Windeyer, Attorney-General, has been appointed a Judge of the Supreme Court. August 8. Sir George Innes has been appointed Attorney-General. * The floods are increasing. A heavy fall of snow has taken place, and thousands of sheep are reported drowned in the country districts. There wag a heavy gale on the Coast last night. The Assam arrived to-day from King George's Sound with the Su.ez mail.
