messrs. hunter and nolan's weekly REPORT. Horses. —There has been an improved supply and demand. On Friday there was a large number of entries. Competition was good, and" almost all the lots were cleared at prices on the whole satisfactory to vendors. We sold hacks from £8 15s to £20, light harness horses from £9 10s to £15, draught from £25 10s to £34 10s. Cattle. —There has .'been a-moderate supply and steady demand. Prices have ruled in favour of the vendor, with the exception of fat stock, which are now lower than usual at this season of the year. The supply has been much steadier, owing to increased production in the Waikato and the facilities of rail transit. There have been no noteworthy alterations in quotations, with the exception of a few prime fat beasts, for which 30s per lOOlbs. waagiveff. Sheep. —There has been a slight improvement. Fat wethers sold at 15s to 17b 9d, medium from 10s 6d to 14s, store ewes from 6s 6d to 12s 9d. Pigs were plentiful, and well competed for, selling at from 2£d to 3sd per lb., live weight.
