This Day. It is rumored here that Sir Julius Yogel has cabled out that he has arranged with the .Rothschilds to float a new loan as Soon as the bill has passed. James Black, J. P.-, and old Otago resident, died suddenly on Saturday afternoon, while sitting m a chair reading. The cause of death is supposed to be appoplexy. An inquest is to be held on the body. A new-born infant has heen found m a cottage of the mother of a servant girl at Jewell's Bay Hotel, Anderson's Bay Road. The girl denied on Friday that she had been delivered, but shortly afterwards the body was found. A fire broke out on Saturday morning m a two-storied wood and iron building m King-street, owned and occupied by Richard Lamb, butcher. The premises, which were almost totally destroyed, were insured, but the insurance of the furniture had lapsed.
