AUCKLAND.
This Day. There is a proposal on foot for a public meeting to discusss the question of separation, and the support of representatives at Wellington m demanding justice for Auckland m the matter of Pu'ilic Works expenditure. The steamer Glenelg reports that Bhe saw a cutter go ashore on the re^f at Cape Colville and disappear under water before the steamer reached her. Two men were seen making their way along the cliff, but as they did not signal, the Glenelg stood away.
