BLENHEIM.

This Day. Doherty, formerly teacher m the Wellington, and lately m Blenheim School, held a public meeting- on Thursday night for the purpose of refuting certain calumnies. . He denounced the Education Board and Education system. On Saturday he was arrested on a charge of sending a threatening letter to one W, B. Earle. The charge was dismissed artjidst much applause, public sympathy being strongly with Doherty.
