AUCKLAND.
SThis Day. Mr. Roskrudge, Sheep Inspector, at Tauranga, has been promoted to sustain a stibdivision of the Otago Sheep District, and will reside at Clyde m place of Inspector McNeil Campbell, who has been removed to Gisborne, m Poverty Bay, a subdivision of Auckland Sheep district, m room of Inspector Meldrum, who retires m consequence of failing health. The Harbor Board have under consideration recommendations from a committee appointed to report upon an ■ amending constitution of the Board. It is proposed the Board shall consist of nine members, eight elective, and the other one to be the Chairman for the time being of the Chamber of Commerce. The Governor and suite left for Wellington yesterday m the Hinemoa. The City of New York with the 'Frisco mail arrived yesterday afternoon. All the principal news has been anticipated by cable.
