AUCKLAND.
This Day. Mr. J. G. Young left by the Hawea for Tauranga yesterday, owing to information received that the Hauhaus who threatened the settlers at Te Puna, were becoming more turbulent. Mr. Sheehan will go there after settling some business with the Thames Natives, relative to land negotiations with the Government. It is stated that Mr. Williams, R.M., at the Bay of Islands, is to be removed to another judicial district, owing to Mr. Bryce'a report m reference to the roll-stuifing. Mr. William Swanson has been sworn m a member of the Executive Council. He has held the position for many years.
