DUNEDIN.
This Day. An accident, resulting fatally, occured on Saturday morning to Mrs. Murray, wife ,of the proprietor of Murray's Private Hotel, Ratfcray Street, Mrs. Murray was engaged in the upper floor building, removing clothes from a line, and missing her footing, fell through on,e of the skylights, which gives light to the hall below, and precipitated her with great force to the ground, a distance of fully 17 feet, fraoturing some of her ribs, and producing other internal injuries, which resulted, in death yesterday morning. From the time of the accident up till the moment of her death, deceased exhibited no signs of consciousness. She was attended by Drs. Brown and Coughtrey, but from the firat no hopes were entertained by them of her recovery. The Government have requested Mr. Vincent Pyke to turn the firat sod of the Strath-Taieri Railway. The Dunedin Queen's Birthday Races were postponed until to-day, on account of the weather.
