MELBOURNE.
This Day. The Detectives have discovered an additional sum of 850 sovereigns, part of the proceeds of the Avoca gold robbery. Money sent by Weiberg to Melbourne to purchase a small vessel to facilitate his escape. Weiberg has been re-lodged m Melbourne Gaol. Weiberg was captured near Tawia River. He surrendered after three shots had been fired at him.
