Auckland May 13. Mr. R. Arthur reports as follows : — Fowls, of which there was a good show, realised 9d to 2s 7d each ; turkeys, 2s lOd to 3s ; ducks, Is 7d to 3s ; small pigs, 4s 9d to 11s 6d j provisions, fruits, &c. ; flour, £7 to £13 ; cheese, 3&d to 9d ; bacon, 4£d to Bdj butter, 6£d to lid; apples, 2d to 3§d ; pears, lid to 2sd ; lemons, 8d per dozen ; sugar, 4£d to4£d ; tea (halt-chests), 1b lOd • box, 20s to 245 ; candles, 9£d ; soap, 16s; treacle, 2&d; potatoes, 3s to 6s 6d ; onions, £d to 2d ; lot of strung onions, 3d ; pumpkins, 2s 9d to 4s ; pie melons, 2s 6d ; Swede turnips, 2s 2d to 2s 6d ; carrots, 3s 6d ; oats, 3s lOd to 4s ; maize, 4s 9d ; wheat, 4s 6d ; bran, 7s ; pickles, 9s ; jams, 7s per dozen. A considerable quantity of new and second-hand furniture passed off at fair prices.
