NAPIER.
This Day. At the Education Board yesterday a letter was read, also a communication from the Gisborne School Committee, notifying the election of Mr D. Johnson, Chairman of the Committee, m place of Mr. G. D. Bennett, resigned. A letter from Messrs. Somervell, Bros, contractors for the Gisborne School building, was read, stating that 10s. had been deducted by the Bank of New Zealand for exchange upon £200 remitted by the Board. It was decided that the attention of the Bank be drawn to the matter.
