AUCKLAND.
This Day. Three boys, aged 11, from the training school, took a boat belonging to Mr. Gouk, with provisions; consisting of bread, butter, and salt ; they also took a fishing line, when they were captured by Gouk near the North Head yesterday, and they were fast drifting ashore. They had formed a design of sailing toSydney. A strong feeling exists amongM'Minn's constituents that he ought to be brought to account for his vote on Curtis's Bill. A three-roomed cottage at Newmarket, valued at £400, was destroyed by fire early yesterday morning. It was uninsured. The Criminal Sittings of the Supreme Court have opened. Arrived : Advance, from Gisborne. Sailed : Ladybird, for South ; passenger for Gisborne, Mrs. Gillman.
