Auckland Cattle Market.
MR. ALTRED BtTCKLAND's WEEKLY REPORT. At Remuera on Thursday, dairy cattle were in short supply, and maintained previous values, bringing from £7 to £12 each. Store cattle in moderate number and free inquiry at an advance of 5s to 10s per head. Fat cattle in full numbers ; 130 head yarded. Last week's values were sustained, prices varying from 27s 6d to 32s 6d the lOOlbs. Store sheep plentiful. Aged stock at nominal values, but young stock in fair inquiry at 8s to 10s each. Fat sheep in full BUtoply, and at late values. Ewes, 2d ; whethers, 2* to 3d. the pound. Store pigs doll of sale, Well-fatted dairy pigs, 4d per lb., live weight. MESSRS HUNTER AND NOLAN'S WEEKLY REPORT. Horses.— There has been a marked improvement in the market both as to supply and demand. Hacks sold from £13 to £25 : light harness horses, from £14 10s to £22; draught colts, from £28 to £86. .. . Cattle.— There has been continued activity in the market. At Newmarket on Tuesday, bidding was languid, but well-bred cattle in fresh condition were well competed for. There was a large market of fat beasts, aiid a spirited demand throueeut the sale at from 30s to 32s 6d per lOOlbs. There was no noteworthy alteration in stores. Dairy cows sold at from £8 15s to £13 10s.
