WAIKOHU HIGHWAY DISTBICT BOARD.

A meeting of the Waikohu Highway District Board was held at the Willows, on Monday. A quorum was obtained, and Mr. W. K. Chambers was Chairman. The Gazette notification of reconstruction of the Waikohu Highway District was read by the Chairman ; also the notice of Highways Act, 1874," having been brought into operation in the district. A rough balance-sheet, read by the Secretary, showed a defiiet of £58 8s 7d. It was proposed by MrScott, that the late members of the old Board, then present should be re-elec-ted to form a new one namely, Mr. Chambers, Mr. Walker, and Mr. Burnett. , . . . It was proposed by Mr. Norris, seconded by Mr. Leeviking, that Mr. J; Orr be elected a member of the Board. Proposed by Mr. 'Kefnpt'horne, seconded by Mr. Walker, that MfclScott be elected a warden. Proposed by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr.' Burnett, and carried, that M*. ; Lambert and Mr. Norris be scrutineers.
