DEATH BY NICOTINE.

A child died m Wellington within the past week from nicotine poisoning. The little fellow aged six years, had picked np the stump of an old cigar,* and put it m his mouth. Soon afterwards, he was taken seriously ill, and the efforts of his medical attendant to save him proved unavailing.
