We quote : Draught horses with trials from £35 to £47 10s ; medium draught, £33 ; light harness horses, from £16 to £27 ; hacks, from £7 10s to £18. Cattle.— We quote : Dairy cows, from £9 to £13 ; dry cows, £4 to £6 2s 6d ; calves, 35s to £2 10s ; yearlings, £3 5s to £4 ; 2-year-old steers, £4 10s to £5 ; 3-year-old, £5 10s to L7 ; beef, 32s to 35s per lOOlbs. Sheep.— The supply at Newmarket was very much smaller than on the previous week. Competition was steady, and prices were fully 2s per head higher than the previous week. Lambs were not so plentiful as usual, and sold at Is advance on last week's rates.
Pigs. — Very few yarded. There was an unsatisfied enquiry for good porkers at 3d per lb., live weight.
